Hard work often pays off after time, but laziness always pays off now. How true is that statement?
With way too many impatient people in the world, more want the instant pay off rather than making the commitment to doing small, but significant things over time. We are in a “I want it now” society.
That unfortunately leads to people being a procrastinator. They would rather think of excuses of why they should not do something rather than spending the time in just doing it.
Now that we are all well aware of procrastination, what can we do to silence the lame procrastinator within each and everyone of us?
Here’s one thing I do that has really helped me and lots of other people…
What I do in my network marketing biz to avoid procrastination from lurking is I commit to doing my tasks day in and day out. Then at the end of the night I look in the mirror and ask myself (metaphorically speaking) what have I done today.
If I discover that I did not do one or a few things that day, I ask WHY? And, if I had a legitimate reason, then you bet that taks will go on my list of to dos the next day. If I didn’t, I need to quickly figure out why I didn’t do it.
The reason why I ask this question, as so should you, is to help determine any blocks that were avoiding me from doing whatever I needed to do and eliminate them.
Perhaps it was social media and I got wrapped up into looking at people’s post. Whatever it really is, I needed to fix it by just not doing it the next time and if it’s something I really wanted to do, then I held off on doing it until later.
Every time I’ve asked myself why I didn’t do something, 85% of the time it’s because I had no excuse whatsoever. We are all human and bound to one time or another experience this.
But, if we can learn to identify when it’s happening and the negative impact it will have on our business, we then can stop it right in its tracks from progressing.
So, if you think you can’t silence the lame procrastinator within you, you’re wrong because you can. Now that you know what to do, try it on for size and see if it will help you.
What have you done to silence procrastination from interfering with your mlm business?
