Eliminate Doubt for Success

It was 8+ years ago. A lot was going on in my life. I just got married, had a great paying JOB, bought our first house (new furniture and all) and a brand new car.

I was living the high-life, or was I?

SuccessYou see, I thought acquiring all this “stuff” is what success was all about. In reality, I didn’t know what it meant to be successful other than it was a state I desired. Kind of weird when you think about it.

I wanted something I really didn’t understand. Do you know what I’m talking about?

So I began doubting my original thoughts (as would anyone who is confused and uncertain what to do).

And then I realized that there was only one thing I could do, abolish my old way of thinking.

Completely start over from scratch!

Because in reality, my old way of thinking had nothing to do with success. It was about possessions.

So the mission began.

It began with understanding what it meant to be a success. I headed straight for the home business industry. I heard a lot of people got successful in the industry and besides, I wanted freedom. Freedom to choose what I wanted to do and how I wanted to do it.

I knew the home business industry for me meant there was no cap on how successful I could become.

As I was going through this journey I discovered one of the most profound quotes, “Success is the progressive realization of a worthy goal.” – Earl Nightingale

That opened my eyes to what success really meant. It was the journey towards achieving the goal. So, I figured the best thing to do was to enjoy the ride. Feel the breeze and appreciate what I would be uncovering, challenges, struggles and all.

Boy did I ever encounter those. And most will. What kept me going was my determination to succeed and the struggles were just a part of the process. It was normal. There was no need to worry.

In people’s lives, they hit a moment in their life where they have two choices, to either continue down the same path and be miserable or go down an entirely different path that can bring joy, prosperity, happiness, and abundance.

For me it met choosing the one full of opportunities. It’s not for everyone though. Many people just like to leave everything as is. Uh, not me!!!

Eliminate Doubt for Success

I’m a visionary and see endless opportunities where others see limitations. It wasn’t always like this though. I use to think differently, prior to my realization.

You see while I was eliminating all the doubt I had in becoming successful, I was actually becoming successful. I was reaching my goals and enjoying the process. What I later learned what I was doing was carrying on Leadership characteristics.

I always knew I was a leader, especially in my early years when I use to play sports. I was the leader of the pack and was very good at many sports. So it wasn’t really a problem. That was because I enjoyed it and I understood what it took to become good.

Now, it was just a matter of becoming a leader in my home business.

If I could just focus my attention on enjoying reaching each and every single one of my goals, then it would be inevitable that I would enjoy being successful.

This process was so foreign to me. As it would be for anyone who hadn’t gone through this before. Accepting that right from the beginning can certainly serve you, it did for me.

I’ll tell you what was the most difficult part of this entire process – letting go. There was no need to let fear enter my life. Trust and belief was all I needed to be concerned with. That was a challenge I was up for.

As long as we are continuously taking action moving our home business in the right direction, we would be achieving our goals. We would be successful!

What did you find interesting in this post? Is there one thing you can take away from this and use for yourself? If so, what would it be and why?

  • I don’t want to be a hypocrite in not admitting my desire to succeed. But I want to share what I’ve learned in life. Life is not about success, it is about wisdom. The essence of life is learning. :-)

    • Hey Walter,

Thanks for stopping by and voicing your opinion.

Yeah wisdom is very important and for those who can grasp that, it can be interpreted as success.
Learning that alone is worth TONS.

      Have a great weekend Walter.
