How many times have you heard someone say, “That’s impossible, you can’t do that.”
This self-limiting belief is preventing a LOT of people from pursuing what it is they truly desire.
Here’s another one you may hear directly from someone who just got into network marketing, “Network Marketing is a scam. You won’t be able to amount to anything in that line of business. What you need to do is go be a doctor or manager, that’s where the real money is.”
WHOA! I don’t know about you but there are so many things wrong with that statement. I’m not going to go into them, but I’m sure you can easily pick out what they are.
Here’s the thing, anything is possible!
Yes, I said that right. You may disagree and say something like, “I bet you can’t do a quadruple flip, side twist and land on one foot.”
You see, what I said is anything is possible. What I didn’t say is when I will be able to do it.
Here’s the greatest myth about people saying that’s impossible…
They interpret that with NOW, like – You can’t do that NOW.
Well, there is no emphasis on time when we talk or say nothing is impossible, it’s just a matter of time before you CAN.
Network Marketing is no different.
I’m not going to sugar coat it for you, but it requires a lot of perseverance and pure focus on the end goal to get good at network marketing.
So, what can a network marketer do to fully understand that nothing is impossible in this industry?
There is no particular formula, however, this is what I did and still do today.
1. Going into network marketing I had to shift my mind from, this was a scam and that I can never be any good in this industry to anything is possible if I put my mind and actions to work.
2. I created small achievable goals. And, as I achieved them, I felt what it was like to win in this game.
3. I used affirmations to keep my mind focused on my purpose and to remove the clouds of garbage floating around in this world that can deter us from what we are really after.
4. I became a student of network marketing and began applying what I learned as I increased my value and therefore it increased my chances of success.
5. I shared what I knew about this industry with others. I was and am dedicated to going the extra mile for everyones benefit.
6. I eliminated all doubt of failure. Failure was not an option, it is only an obstacle to success.
7. I committed to excellence in all that I do. And, when there were problems, I looked at how I can fix them, made note of it, then moved on to what’s next.
8. I promoted value instead of my business opportunity. I understand that in order for anyone to remotely be interested in my business opportunity, they first needed to understand what it is they are getting involved in and with whom.
These eight helped me and they continue to help me understand that in network marketing and life in general, anything is possible.
If you can live your life this way, you will soon see all the barriers begin to crumble right before your eyes.
That’s all I have for you today, however, I want to leave you with this great quote…
“With self-discipline most anything is possible” ~ Theodore Roosevelt

Anything worth having is worth working your ass off for. Most people are sold on the idea of making millions, but fail to recognize that the lifestyle desire is going to take more work than they put into their regular jobs. If it was easy, everyone would be doing it.

Absolutely Eric.

Eric hit the nail on the head with that one!
NM isn’t easy, there is a huge learning curve, and though there are alot of people I know doing it, it doesn’t mean they are doing it right. Just off the top of my head out of 15 people I personally know that is in DS or NM, I’m the only one with a blog. They think that’s strange…I think they are strange ; )
Great Points!

Hi Twila,
You’re right he sure did. Give all that you can give if you want results.
I see that a lot too, they think they’re doing it right but then I’m like….ahhhh. I can relate

Hey Jerome,
Anything that you put your mind into is possible. As long as you believe you can achieve. Those are the great words in Think and Grow Rich book.
Of course to achieve anything you’ll have to put in some serious work. Nothing is handed over. Great post!

Hey Josh,
Thanks bud…
What a great way to think of it, and one I’ve adopted for some time now – “As long as you believe, you can achieve”. Spot on! Spot on!

Hey Jerome,
These questions about “Scams” and “Pyramids” will never go away, too many people feel it is impossible to make money because they personally cannot from their efforts.
As you say – Anything is possible!

Hey Wayne,
Anything is possible in this industry, anything.

Hey Jerome,
Yes I do believe that anything is possible!
One of my favorite quotes sums it all up:
“Whether you think you can or whether you think you can’t, you’re right.”
– Henry Ford

That quote from Henry Ford is freaking AWESOME Derek. Great choice!

Hey Jerome,
Although I draw the line at “anything” being possible I believe that most people have no idea what the average person is capable of.
Science can’t even explain some of the things that our body does every single day… yet people sit there and tell themselves that they aren’t able to pick up the phone… or put up a blog.
Belief is a powerful thing.
Hey there J,
Isn’t science amazing. It just shows what kind of crazy stuff we really can do.

Hey Jerome,
Ever seen the Cirque du Soleil? I challenge anyone to go see that and not redefine what you think of as “possible”
Here’s the thing though, once something’s been seen anyone can believe it. True visionaries can believe something before they see it.
Just my 5 cents worth.
Have a great day,
Matt

That’s a perfect example Matt.
I haven’t seen the Cirque du Soleil in person but I did on video. Talk about unbelievable is right. After watching that, it definitely does make you think what is possible.

Hey Jerome
FEAR is what limits people. They use that ‘its not possible’ as an excuse so that they don’t have to try it.
I didn’t think me writing an article a day was possible, now I find it hard not to write one.
The points you touched on in this post are so true, good stuff man
.-= Dwayne Huggins´s last blog ..The Future Past And Present Of Network Marketer =-.
Hey Dwayne,
It’s absolutely crazy how much FEAR really sets people back.
I know what you mean about writing an article. I never even thought I would have a blog or have anything to offer. Now, it’s really a no-brainer. It’s fun too.
Have a good one,
Jerome Ratliff
Hi Jerome,
I like what you said, it’s not that you have to do it NOW, it’s a process.
Yes, there will be a learning curve, that’s okay.
10 years ago I’d have never thought I’d be where I am today. Sometimes you just have to get tired of where you’re at and MAKE the changes necessary.
Great post!
Susanna
.-= Susanna Hess´s last blog ..How Big Is Your Ball & Chain? Network Marketing Freedom =-.
So right Susanna.
I too was at a point where I got tired of where I was at. Change was good, even though I thought it would be impossible.
That was a big change for me. It’s cool that we share that in common.
Talk to you later,
Jerome Ratliff
