Staying True to Your Attractive Quality

How attractive are you? What is the message you are sending out to your prospects?

Ok – We aren’t talking about our physical appearance, although it’s the first thing that comes to mind when we talk about attraction. What we’re talking about is something at a deeper level.

Staying True to Your Attractive QualityAll of us have attractive qualities that we portray as home business professionals. Some of these work in our favor and some do not. The problem is if you aren’t true to who you say you are, you will not be congruent to your business.

As a successful leader in the home business industry, the attractive qualities we must live up to are those that people seek in having.

Given that, I’ve seen at times were some people contradict who they say they are. For example, as wonderful as social media is, if we’re aren’t careful with what we do and say, we can seriously jeopardize our businesses. The last thing you want to do is state something and have it floating in internet land where the world can see and hear about it.

I once heard about a person online who I know their goal in their business was with helping home business owners with generating leads. This person happened to be using Twitter to communicate with other people on. Well, his friend just so happened to contact him on there and they started going back and forth about how everything was going on with their life.

Before you knew it he began getting very vulgar regarding the clients he was working with. He was simply stating these people where “idiots”. It just so happens one of his clients saw one of his posts, because he was putting it out there for his Twitter contacts to see. The very next day he lost more than 50% of clients and he had no idea why.

In this case, this person was not living up to his attractive quality of being a lead generating expert for home business owners.

So, if we state our mission is to help home business owners thrive in their home business, the last thing we should be doing is thrashing the home business owners who are struggling. As you can imagine, what needs to be done instead is staying true to our mission by showing struggling home business owners how they can STOP struggling.

Still don’t think this isn’t you…

I would bet, some part of what you are doing is contradicting with your mission. I know this because we all do this and we aren’t really aware of when we are doing it.

What I do when I find I’m not being true to my business…

So, what can we do to stay true to our ideal attractive quality we want our prospects to be interested in?

While I’m running and not running my business I always ask myself, “Does this support my mission?” This was hard to adjust to at first since it was a new habit, but once I got used to this new habit, it wasn’t very hard to adapt to.

Trust me, if you can learn to acknowledge when you’re out of line and correct that, you will actually find that you will have more success with your business. Because people will see what you do is in line with your mission, more people will be attracted to the quality.

Just remember, because this is a process which will take some time to adjust to, take it one day at a time and over time you’ll find yourself supporting your overall mission.

What’s one unattractive quality that has debunked your success in your business?
