More and more network marketers ask the question about building their list of prospects and recently I’ve been toying around with ways to find new subscribers.
It’s just about lunch time here and my stomach is rather empty, but I wanted to get this in your hands before I’m off.
There are a variety of ways to building your list and which you choose is entirely up to you.
Note: Having your list of names to work with is very important, but what isn’t always important is the size of your list. You would rather have a small list of action takers versus a massive list of tire kickers.
Let’s start with the different ways to find new subscribers.
Getting New Subscribers
1. Sign-up form displayed prominently on your website. Your home page is the best place to display this form. However, it’s not the only place it should be on your website.
For example, if you’re running a blog, it can be displayed within each of your posts. You have a choice to incorporate it within each and every post or within the ones you prefer. Whatever works best for you.
2. When writing articles, at the end of your articles you have an author resource box. Within the author resource box, include your website address where people can sign-up to receive your newsletter.
A good tip when it comes to having an author resource box (depending on the article you are writing) is you may want to switch up the author resource box so there is a good flow from the article to the resource box information and then of course including information where people can sign-up to receive your newsletter.
3. Networking forums is another great place where you can get subscribers. Where you tend to network the most, include a signature at the end of your posts.
Your signature should not be in a form of a sales pitch but, rather describe a benefit your audience can experience by signing up to receive your newsletter.
If you’re uncertain which networking forums to use, consider using those within your target niche.
So, if you’re looking for business opportunity seekers, then think about using business opportunity forums.
Or, if you’re looking for other network marketers, then look for network marketing or multilevel marketing forums.
When networking within forums your best approach is to always provide your opinion based on your experience.
What you don’t want to do is post anything that is pushing your product or service. Instead choose the road less traveled.
This is where the signature comes in really handy.
4. Social media sites. Within each of your social media profiles, there is a section to tell people a little about you.
Here is where you can post some details about you and your business and how people can get more information and sign-up for your newsletter.
Each social media site is slightly different, but none-the-less, if you can leverage the use of social media you’d be happy that you did.
In order for this to be effective and increase your chances of people wanting to sign-up for your newsletter, the best approach is to deliver value on the social media sites you frequent.
By doing so, you will become instantly attractable.
5. Advertisements. People tend to think of advertisements as an area to sell your product and get people to buy. Using advertisements to get more sign-ups is a sure way to increase your subscriber’s list.
Here’s why…
As I mentioned, because the advertisement sections are thought of as selling a product, what you can do is provide an advertisement that promotes your FREE newsletter instead.
By using the word FREE in your advertisement, your audience will be more inclined to want to find out more information rather than having to pay for it.
As you are using the above areas to getting more subscribers, remember it’s important to build and nurture your relationships with your audience by providing value people can use.
The more you subscribe to this thinking, the better.

I use press releases and the signature box to help increase my subscribers.
You do have to be good with writing press releases though.
Jen
Press releases are a great way and I totally forgot about those.
Thanks Jen for keeping it real by sharing that.
