Ever heard of, if you want something bad enough then you’re going to have to ask for it?
If so, then you most definitely know that it will never fall into your lap (I know I’m preaching to the choir). It’s true and some never want to admit that.
So, the other day I sent a message to my subscribers about some new information that is literally a game changer in the network marketing world but if they wanted to know what it was then they needed to contact me.
I shared this because there was no way that I was going to give this away to anyone. This is some top secret stuff here. I’m not kidding either.
In fact, most of the top industry professionals haven’t even figured it out. It was about why 95% of network marketers fail and the responses I got didn’t surprise me one bit.
Some people who read my message, shrugged their shoulders and said, “Whatever!” For all of those who said that, it would be offer to please do us all a favor and quit. It seems they just don’t get it, YET. That’s not to say that they can never get it, because they can but they have to want it bad enough first.
Then there were the in-betweeners…those that saw my message, digested it and didn’t take action. Good for all of them for at least being open. That’s a very good start but we have to move along in this process in order to truly experience it.
So, after I fully took in the responses I realized what more I can share with them in order to help them. Well, here’s what I shared…I was telling them about how network marketing is changing (once again) for the better and will soon be operating out of a new and improved model. What this really is an enhancement to the current model only now it’s taking into consideration how to help those 95%ers?
Well, what these 95%ers lack is one very important thing. And it’s…
CONFIDENCE
Confidence in their company…confidence in their product…confidence in their leadership…confidence in their system…confidence in their training…and most importantly, confidence in “themselves”.
How in the world do I know this?
Well, when I first started in the network marketing arena (didn’t even know it was network marketing) back in 2001 in a direct sales company, I was off to a good start bringing in a few extra hundred dollars a week. Not bad for supplementing my current income on a part-time basis. But then something changed, I began to lose confidence in all of those areas above (just as many, many people out there have done as well).
The only difference between me and everyone else was it took me longer to fail, oppose to failing from the get-go.
Needless to say it didn’t matter. So, I quit network marketing, went back to giving my JOB everything I had. Then something happened again, I wasn’t happy. So I jumped back into network marketing again in 2002. In a new company and everything. However, this start wasn’t the same as my previous one. I struggled for a LONG time (almost 6 full months with no money) before I finally started to see the residual income come in.
But then something happened (again)…
I began to lose confidence here as well. So quit this company. What the heck!?! Was it me? Was it the company?
So, jumped back into network marketing once again because I knew it was more me than anything. This new company had everything I was looking for. So I gave it my all for a good solid 4 years (did pretty well here) until I decided to quit my corporate job for good. Right about this time I knew I had to find something else because I wasn’t being compensated appropriately for the hard work I was doing. So I started to look for something I knew I could do that would give me the confidence and everything else I knew was important to have a thriving business. I finally found it!
What is so magnificent about this was not only was the company, leadership, system, products, etc. so great but it also had what many others didn’t have. And that was a process for how someone who’s not really sure how to succeed in network marketing be shown the way.
I’m not talking about just getting coaching or anything. I’m talking about something much more grandiose but rather simple in teaching people how to have CONFIDENCE. And when I was told this (learning from my “coach”) a wave of emotions began flooding over me. I now saw that “anyone” can do network marketing and be successful at it (even it’s not for everyone). All because they had the right ingredients.
Most companies have a lot of the ingredients, but they don’t have all of them. This is where the leaders come into play and fill that void. They are what every company who wants to see everyone succeed needs.
These leaders are special in nature. They just don’t guide and direct. They teach, direct, help, and guide then (key word here) “duplicate”. And because they are the ones who are familiar with this new model they immediately know what is required to see their new person having a higher success rate.
I’m not sure if any of this I’ve shared with you here is for you or not, but what I can tell you is, “How long will go before you realize something has to change before you up and quit?” Please don’t be that person.
Drop your ego, and start with yourself first, that’s the least you can do. And if there is one thing you can get from this, please make it a point to not fall into the 95% trap and do something about it today.
