Network Marketer Finds Motivation in an Unusual Way

Network Marketer Finds Motivation in an Unusal WayIt was Monday morning after a long busy weekend and it was time to do some work. The night before I had about a total of five hours of sleep, I was completely groggy and not in the mood to do anything.

Where was I going to get the motivation and energy to get some work done? I have some second interview calls setup with some serious prospects, but I have no desire to want to call them at this time.

Does any of this sound familiar?

It’s not so much what you can do, but how you’re going to do it and why you should do it.

As someone who is responsible for their financial destiny and their network marketing success, it requires a set of good habits to be in place.

Here’s a pretty unusual way I as a network marketer find motivation to keep me going…

Sleeping for MotivationFor one, studies have shown a good night’s sleep triggers changes in the brain that help to improve your memory. The better your memory, the better you will operate.

On average, I get in seven hours of sleep every single night, so I’m refreshed and ready to roll the next day. I’d rather have more than enough energy for the next morning then not.

Well Balanced Meal for MotivationSecondly, eating well balanced meals along with 30 minutes of physical activity actually increases energy levels to help you perform throughout your day.

I start off the day with a good healthy meal, but in addition to that I’m adamant to getting at least 30 minutes of either aerobic or weight training into my day. This physical activity alone gives me enough motivation to keep me keeping on.

I mention these here above only because it’s essential so that you are on your toes. Not everyone believes in taking care of themselves, but at the same time, you need your brain to be re-energized from the previous day so you can be even better the next.

Now, here’s what you can do to stay motivated in your network marketing business…

Look to utilizing energy boosting tools, such as, listening to inspirational/personal development material before you begin your day. You can even read material on the network marketing industry to increase your awareness to what other methods people are using to build their business.

Also, having a purpose why you are doing what you’re doing will help give you the necessary motivation to carry-on. If you haven’t found what you’re purpose is yet, then I highly encourage you to look to why you are doing your business in the first place. If it’s to gain monetary satisfaction, then that’s not enough. It could be, you want to help and encourage all working moms who no longer want to work or help bring awareness to how degenerative diseases are slowly killing off people by what they subject their body to.

Whatever it is for you, definitely figure out what it is. It’s a big piece to helping you stay motivated.

One other area that has helped me is knowing the end result. From Stephen Covey’s book 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, habit two describes how beginning with the end in mind creates clarity to what you are shooting to achieve. It also helps sustain your purpose.

For example, if you know you want to achieve signing up two distributors within three weeks, you know this is the end result. How you are going to get there doesn’t matter. At this time, you have already set your mind on what you want to achieve. So, all you need to do is stay focused on the end result. The pieces will fall into place.

One last big one I use to stay motivated is, I don’t allow for excuses. When I’m faced with being tired or not wanting to do something, I ask myself, why should I give in to that and instead just get it done. Most of the time we are talking about spending a little extra time on the business, so nothing that extravagant. But, spending that little extra time can make a huge difference.

If you find yourself making excuses, literally throw it away and don’t let it consume you. You have a goal to achieve and there is no way one lousy excuse is going to ruin it for you. It’s not worth it.

So there you have it, some unusual and usual ways to finding motivation for your network marketing biz.

What unusual ways have you put into practice to help you find motivation?
