After attending a MLM training event, did you ever have a hard time falling asleep because your head was spinning so much with valuable information?
And to make matters worse, you finish it up and not sure where to begin with what you learned?
This has been me for the last three nights.
I’ve been soaking in some great training I attended and it completely blew me away.
So, what did we talk about?
Without going into too much details or my head will explode again
I will tell you what our agenda was like.
After learning some great tips, tools and techniques to enhance our home business’s performance, we had to dig a littler deeper.
And, anyone who wants to achieve success and has not yet reached it yet, has some underling problem that is so deep within them that they don’t even realize what it is.
So, we started off with a cleansing of a mind. We searched deep within ourselves for the “root” problem as it was time to finally pull it out.
That was a very emotional process. Nobody likes going through that experience.
However, I will tell you it works.
Ok…so then we talked about some more tips, tools and techniques we can use.
We learned so many ways in how to run this business. All of which work. Some conventional and unconventional.
The beautiful part to it, is it’s going to be sooooo much easier for identifying who our target market is and more importantly, how to speak their language.
Just imagine you were in my position with more than 30 hours of MLM training jam packed into 2 1/2 days, how would you sleep?
If you’re anything like me, because I love this stuff, I couldn’t sleep a wink.
I kept waking up having to put great ideas into my journal.
I finally got some sleep and I discovered how I can apply what I learned with ease.
Does that interest you? Who wouldn’t be interested, right…
What I Did in Order to Apply What I Learned
Throughout the MLM training event, I made sure to take bodacious notes.
And during our breaks and lunch breaks, I spoke to other successful marketers in the industry, who I didn’t even know.
I asked and learned how they had applied what they learned in the past in order to get great results.
I basically was able to dip into these millionaire minds and discover their secrets.
The secret I’m about to share with you is how they taught me how I can apply what I learned.
1. Take as many notes as possible and use pictures where necessary. (Check ~ I did that already. I was off to a great start.)
2. Review your notes after each event. (Check ~ I did this one the very first day thanks to them.)
3. Speak to others who have been there, done that. (Check ~ I did that too as I was speaking to many of them.)
4. Purchase an audio of the live training event I was at. (Check ~ I bought that puppy the last day of the event.)
5. Listen to the live training event, revise notes and highlight the key ones I was especially interested in. (Check ~ It’s in the works.)
6. Create an action plan from what I highlighted, leveraging an accountability partner. My wife agreed to that one. (Check ~ It’s also in the works and will be ready to go by the end of the day.)
Imagine attending a MLM training event who got some valuable information and decided to never put it into action.
The sad thing is it happens all the time. The best thing to do to avoid this is to follow the six steps above.
This will ensure the event you attend wasn’t for entertainment but for a reason.
That reason is to get RESULTS.

Hey Jerome,
Those are definitely some good tips on getting the most out of any event you go to. I’ve been known to slip a mini recorder in my pocket and take audio recordings for a whole event. It might end up with me taking several trips back to the room to empty the hard drive.
Good Stuff,
Eric
That will do it, that’s for sure.
With so much going on at events, you’re bound to miss something. At least this way that’s not the case.

Hi Jerome,
If it’s the same event I’m thinking it was, I bet it was awesome! Would love to go to one sometime.
I bet your head was spinning with that much info packed into that short amount of time.
Those are some excellent tips for anyone who is going to be attending an event. Thanks for sharing.
Have a great day!

Hey Jerome,
That is some excellent advice you are giving above! Those 6 points will go in my “Best of…” file.
I’m not a good note taker, so a lot of times I take a little audio recorder with me and tape the event. Then when I get home, I listen to it and then I take notes. (Because that little recorder has a pause button. Can’t pause a live event haha.)
The most important point though is to put into ACTION what you’ve learned.
Thanks for sharing this and have an awesome day!

I only take good notes when I’m blown away with goodies. This was one of those events.
I’m glad you like the steps. I find I’m able to retain more and now easily apply it.

Hey Jerome,
Nice to know you had a good event, they say if you do not take notes you will not retain the information, so glad you mentioned this.
Thanks for this post.

Hey Jerome,
I’ve been to events and trainings like that, and can totally relate to the lack of sleep. It’s awesome! lol
I love your 6 tips. You’re absolutely right, so many people go to events like that, and come away excited for a day. After that, it’s as if they never even went. It does you no good in the long run if you forget it all!

Hey Jerome,
Great post my friend. I used to be a “seminar junkie” who would go just to get a good buzz and then come home and do nothing. I think most people can relate to that.
The point about interacting with others at the event is extremely important because this is where you mastermind and put different people’s perspectives together. It’s a great way to create accountability too, if you follow up afterwards.
Have a great day,
Wayne
Hi Wayne.

Hey Jerome,
It’s important to attend events for you and your business. I like it when I hear people say that I don’t need to go. I already know this stuff. A couple of month go by and they still stuck in square #1.
The key is to take that energy and put it into action!

It sure does Jen.
The more we write down, the more we will retain.
You just can’t go wrong with that.
