What Good is a Blog

You’ve been running your business, either getting great results or very little. You start hearing about how a blog can be a great asset to your business… Is this true or not?

There are many blogs surfacing each and everyday, some that come and go and some that will be around for a while.

What Good is a Blog AnywayBut, what does having a blog have anything to do with your network marketing?

Having a blog may be new to you, it may not.

What we can learn about a blog is it’s your opportunity to share your experience with the masses…

Which includes your target audience.

What Good is a Blog Anyway?

Here we are going to look into a few things having blog can mean for your home business…

Leads – By sharing your personal experience with the masses to see, you will find having a blog can be an excellent source to get leads drawn into you because of the value and wholeheartedness you put into your blog. What you do with those leads can really help your business prosper.

Generating leads via your blog can help you separate yourself from your competition because while everyone else is complaining about how they have no quality leads, you’re generating them on a consistent basis.

Helping others succeed – The greatest reward you can ever have is helping someone out. By being that person that made a difference to people’s lives, it is truly a remarkable feeling. When you get this feeling it’s like you’re being fulfilled.

Helping others out is the sowing of the seeds and the results your target audience gets in return is a very attractive characteristic, which will draw in more people to you.

Exposure – What network marketers and home business owners ask is, “How do I get the exposure I need to have a successful business?” Having a blog can create that necessary exposure you need for your business. The more you get your word out and make that difference, the more you will become recognized as a leader who draws in more people.

(There’s that word again, “drawn”, take notice of it because it’s important when having a blog.)

Exposure is one of things that requires time (as do many other methods), but once you have your content out there in Internet land, it sits there exposed for people to see. That means more traffic to you.

Help yourself learn more – There are times we all become status quo in our lives and in our business, so the best thing to do to not become status quo is by staying on our toes and continue to deliver. What’s special about that is when we are delivering quality to our audience, we are actually strengthening ourselves.

That may seem strange, but that is how our minds think. When we are in a state of sharing, what happens is we take in more and retain what we are delivering.

So, if we are sharing how to grow our business, subconsciously our minds are thinking of different ways to grow.

Also, by delivering content, your audience who responds to your posts will help you as well. They will either encourage what you are saying or share their take on how they do it in their business.

This can be a valuable way to learn and grow.

Those that choose to grow their home business through the use of blog are leaders. These leaders are the innovators of the industry.

They truly get what it takes to have a thriving business.

They truly get how to have the competitive edge.

They truly get what difference it can make for others and themselves.

So if you’re thinking of having a blog for your home business, it can make that difference.

One word to wise though, you have to continue to deliver.

Can you imagine if we decided to deliver once it great while??? You probably won’t get the results with that approach.

Just be sure you’re always keeping up with your blog and write your posts which is true to who you are and how it can help others.

Because at the end of the day, helping others is what it’s really about.

What good do you see having a blog can mean for your home business? Do you have a blog that you’d like to share with us? Why don’t you join in on this conversation and be that person that “helps others out”.

  • Hi Jerome,

Great Article! Having a blog is very critical if you own any kind of business, especially a network marketing business. It gives you the exposure and allows you to share with others.

The best part is that in the process of sharing or giving. You receive recognition or even better generate leads.

I’ve always said that you must give before you can expect to receive anything…It’s a law!

    Thanks,
    Josh

    • Hey Josh -

      Thanks for your kind words.

You hit the nail on the head, “The best part is that in the process of sharing or giving. You receive recognition or even better generate leads.”

A blog is a great way to be the one giving so that we can also receive.

I haven’t created a blog yet, but I think I should. What do you recommend I start with?

You can use WordPress to get your blog started. I use it because it’s user friendly for even the non-technical people.

My recommendation – Just think about what you intend to use it for and drive with that.
