Merriam-Webster defines leadership as the act or an instance of leading.
In your network marketing business, you are either the leader who is leading your team or you are following a leader.
Now, whether you are a leader in your business or not, you should be exercising both of these. By always learning from other leaders in the network marketing industry, it will give you a broader spectrum of what other successful players are doing in their business and vice versa.
But, if you really want to be successful, then the best way to do that is to become a leader. If you can become the leader in your business and for the world to see, you will be seen as a very reputable source who others can look to for guidance, assistance, mentoring, etc. This is a very attractive quality as network marketer that will bring you and your team much success.
Living up to this is what the leadership mantle of success is all about.
What it will take to become a leader is persistent action on improving yourself, choosing to step up and rising to the occasion. A leader is never afraid to take a challenge, which means you shouldn’t as well (that’s if you want to be a leader). One huge difference in a leader and a non-leader is when a leader is presented with a challenge, they look to their team of experts to help. They don’t look to figure it out on their own, but what they do need to understand and accept is if it’s something they want to even pursue.
Once they decide to pursue the challenge, they have set their mind on succeeding. Once the team figures out the “how to make it happen piece”, the leader will touch base with the team to get an idea of the approach and the details they assembled as a team.
As the team develops the definitive plan, it will be presented to the leader for decision on whether to proceed or not. The network marketing leader needs this information to understand from the leadership perspective if the approach is feasible for the world to comprehend.
A leader is not pushy but instead determined and they will certainly not stand for no answers. Here’s the thing, there is no such thing as “it can’t be done”. There is always a way, trust me. I’ll give you an example, let’s say I’m going to take up magic despite I have never done it or understand it. Some people think, “oh this can’t be done”, while on the contrary I would disagree and despite me not knowing it, it something that can be learned.
That’s what I want people to understand, anything is possible. The network marketer living up to that leadership mantle of success knows this and there is nothing that’s going to change that once they’ve set their mind to doing it and succeeding.
