The great John Maxwell says best, “A great leader’s courage to fulfill his vision comes from passion, not position.”
Far too many people really do confuse leadership with position or status in which people have authority. That is partially correct, but it’s only the beginning of leadership.
Leadership requires the development of yourself then ultimately being able to inspire and influence other people to stand up to mantle of leadership.
One of the many qualities of leadership is to identify those who have great potential in leading.
This is to not confuse others that this person does not have leadership, it’s just that they are entering a new world of responsibilities (i.e. home business industry) which they may have not fully acquired the leadership qualities required to be at their best.
Today I want to give someone who does a great example of being a leader. This gentlemen is stepping outside his comfort zone and rising up to the challenge.
And because he is able to get so uncomfortable, he is setting a great example for what is required to be a leader in the home business industry and attract other success minded people so that one day they too will be able to rise up to the challenge.
His name is Charlie Holles, he has began developing these leadership videos and I want to share his first one with you here.
I hope you enjoy this. Really take notice the amount of passion he has. You will see how Charlie has began with himself first and what he’s doing is helping other people, just like you and I.
Also see how Charlie follows many of the qualities of leadership John Maxwell speaks about.
Here you go, enjoy!

Hi Jerome,
a characteristic of a true leader is also that he or she exposes other leaders, just like you exposed Charlie. It’s an awesome video, so he absolutely deserves it.
Thanks for sharing.

Great post Jerome. Thank you for sharing it and the video.
Leadership is one of those qualities that you have to have to succeed, and you are absolutely correct when you say that leadership starts with yourself.

Hi Jerome- totally agree – leadership must be taken – it can’t be given – and its a factor of inspiring through doing than directing through fear
continued success
cheers Kiaran
Hi Kiaran,
Very good point, that’s a common mistake to use fear as motivation.
Have a great day,

Hey Jerome
First, thanks for sharing Charlie’s video.
I have met many people over the years in authority positions. They thought they were leaders because of their position but they were actually the worst leaders I have ever met.
You and Charlie are leaders, thanks for the great read Jerome.

Hi Jerome,
That was an awesome video. Thanks for sharing it!
In my opinion … from the moment you sponsor your first prospect you are stepping into a leadership role. You are re-spons-ible for that person and need to guide them, support them and encourage them.
Great stuff, as always!

Hey Jerome,
Thanks for posting Charlie’s video.
He is correct that one of the attributes leadership comes by making others shine and feel good about themselves. People love to get praise not enough of this goes on.

Hi Jerome,
Loved Charlie’s video and couldn’t agree more.
Our role as leaders is to guide others to their own greatness by helping them recognize this within themselves.
We do this by affirming them at every opportunity and by assisting them to improve by being honest but compassionate when we do.
We should regard the responsibility of leading others as a privilege and we should do so regardless of our association with them whenever we can see an opportunity to contribute to their growth.

Hi Jerome,
I love Charlie’s video and how he teaches. I think the best leaders are the ones who are focused on helping others embrace their true value and believing in them until they can embrace it for themselves.
Great video!

I know, when it becomes personal and we are only concerned about our success, there is a ceiling. But there doesn’t have to be, just as you said by focusing on helping others.

Hey Jerome,
Thank you for sharing Charlie’s video. By creating this post & sharing his awesome video, you’re giving the example of exactly what he’s talking about.
I completely agree with Charlie. And in this industry no leader will last without the ability to encourage and praise others for what they do.
Great post & video!

Hi Susanna,
And thank you for that nice comment too.

Jerome,
Great video and Charlie was right we have to be very conscious of how we are treating people and how we attempt to guide them towards their goals.
We can’t force it and I like how he mentioned that when we do try to effect a change that if done the right way it comes from INSIDE them and again is not forced and 100 times more effective.

Great post Jerome,
Thanks for this great post and sharing Charlie’s excellent video.
One really crucial dimension of leadership touched upon here is leading with supportive, encouraging energy which helps people grow into understanding rather than stripping them of responsibility by issuing commands to be followed.
Looking forward to the next videos!
