I remember the first time I heard the concept “increase your value”. To me it meant learning any particular area, implement it and get really good at it.
But I decided to take it to the next level… How can I give back what I learned?
The whole idea of increasing your value was to draw in more people to you and your home business based on the new acquired expertise. In other words, you would be seen as a leader because of the value that was being delivered to the world.
A little background for you though… For me that seemed almost like a difficult thing to do since I wasn’t that big into reading. Giving and sharing wasn’t the problem. It’s just that I didn’t have much to give to my team.
Especially since at the time I only had about 20 books and most weren’t increasing much of my value.
That turned out to be a minor setback and where this whole mission began for me and thankfully has changed for the better.
What once was 20 books is now 100s of books.
Each and everyone of those books, like “Positive Energy, Rich Dad Poor Dad, The Ultimate Sales Letter, Advanced Selling Strategies, Rule #1, Multiple Streams of Income, Endless Referrals and much more” all allowed me to increase my value.
As I learned more, some I learned a lot from and some I learned a little, but what I did learn I decided to implement that into my life and business.
As I implemented them and saw the positive benefit I was getting from it, I then would share that with my team, subscribers, friends, etc.
You see, I could’ve just taken all of that information, implemented it and bottled it up just for me. But because I’m not a selfish person and truly want to see other people have success, that wasn’t in me.
Besides, what good would’ve that been if I kept it to myself??? It wouldn’t have done any good!
I simply felt compelled to give (there was no other option) and that’s what I did (and continue to).
So my question to you is, “How are you increasing your value?”
Are you taking on new books, courses, ebooks, seminars, webinars, you name it?
If you’re wondering why you would even consider doing this, think of it this way…
“This will be your opportunity to get you exposed to new and different areas you wouldn’t have been subjected to. Doing that alone will change the direction you once were heading.
So as your team would be building up, you’ll want to share your discoveries with them so they too can have the same level of success.
Oh yeah, and you would win too if they were in your team.
Increasing your value should be one of those things to have within your mission statement. It should be in everyone’s plan.
How have you been able to increase your value today? What’s your favorite material that has drastically changed your amount of value: books, audio programs, etc?
