Agree Tanisha and that's a very good way to approach this. Being genuine is very attractive.

I say leverage others story until you make it. be genuine all the time not fake, because you cannot gain a true following like this especially online.

Hi Trey,

Agree, it's a great tactic to use but you must be very careful when using this because many people do confuse what I am referring to here with being untrustworthy or something you are not. 'Fake it Til You Make it' is about BEING the person you want to become and acting like them.

Thanks for dropping in and sharing your take on this.

See you soon,
Jerome Ratliff

I think "fake it 'til you make it" is a clever tactic that may be appropriate for some situations, but there are circumstances where absolute honesty and transparency to your customers would be the only way to go.

Good video. Even though many services might die off, overall social media is a natural extension of how people communicate. This is clearly shown by how quickly some of these networks have been able to grow.

Even though everyone and their dog has a Tweetbook account now, there still is a lot of opportunity for people. If someone focuses on creating quality content and has a process to promote it, they should be able to grow. No matter what new networks come out or what technological change happens.

I know exactly what you mean. When I think of the statement, I know that it means how you act and feel versus being a wannabe (for a lack of a better word). I didn't always believe that so I can imagine others would be in the same boat as I was in but thank goodness I've changed and now see the "faith it til you make it" instead. ;)

Thanks a million for your excellent comment, Ilka.
