Want to know how you can effectively broadcast your home business content to your target market?
Recently I started to see a lot of buzz lately in how you should market your content.
With so many different opinions in which is best, what we really are talking about is a marketing system.
Marketing probably comes no surprise to you, but what system you use is what makes a difference.
Your marketing system consists of having “robots” (what Mike Dillard likes to call them) working for you all over the internet.
Your robot is nothing more than tools that does the work for you automatically.
You simply design it once, and follow it through leveraging these tools.
Before we even get to this point, we focus on the core steps to having a successful home business.
1. Build a list.
2. Build rapport with that list.
3. Market to that list.
When we talk about a marketing system, it is the precursor to these three valuable steps.
A very simple way to build this system is to focus on knowing who your market is. This is where research is a VITAL component.
Simply put – You need to determine who you’d like to attract to you. To stand out, you really need to pin point who your business builders and customers are.
After you know who your market is, determining how you intend to spread that message is next.
If we were to think in terms of robots again, what would come to mind that could automatically share that message for you?
Blogging, PPC, article marketing, ezine marketing, banner ads, social media, video marketing, etc. Right?
Each of these tools, including the next one, requires you to be proficient if you want to effectively build your marketing system.
This last piece is the developing of your material in a way that provokes a response. An invaluable skill that will help in this regards is, hands down – Copywriting!
Copywriting is the secret component. Why is it so important?
Listen to this…
“There is no problem that can’t be solved with a world-class sales letter.” – Gary Halbert
What does this tell us?
It can solve your greatest struggles in your home business. It can help you attract the right people to you. It can be your recruiting tool.
Copywriting is the glue that makes the marketing system stick.
To sum it up, to simply build your marketing system here are your action items.
1. Pin point your target market.
2. Use tools to broadcast your message out.
3. Learn and apply copywriting.
I’ve already began this journey myself in our business, and just by doing these, it’s allowed us to experience the fruit of our labor.
Heck – who wouldn’t want that?
There you have it, a simple way you can build your marketing system by following these simple but VERY effective steps.

Hey Jerome, thanks for the good content.
Copyrighting is the “magic skill.” If you ever listen to Dillard he tells you that the first thing he would do, if he had to start over, is learn copyrighting. It is by far one of his most important skills.
If the “master” says that’s what he would do, why aren’t we focusing on it?
Thanks for the post Jerome.

Jerome,
Without good copyrighting you are basically praying that someone will like your site without understanding what you do and how you can help them. There is no point in getting traffic if there is no place for that traffic to go.

While copywriting is vitally important within the context of information exchange, I have found that all you really need to do is “write it as you say it.”
If you were to “sell” something , or even an idea to do something ie take in a movie – to your spouse or a buddy, how would you do that? How would you present your argument? How would you SAY it?
Right! So why do we try and “say” it differently in a sales letter?
Stay inspired!

Hey Michael,
That’s actually one of the styles of copywriting at its best. It’s really good technique when you’re sharing a story as you’re writing it as if you were saying.
Great point.
Have a great weekend,

Nicely summarised Jerome – I guess copywriting is really just the written form of compelling communication with a call to action. Behind the smoke and mirrors is often an emotional evoking of the extreme benefits of the product or service.
In a marketplace full of vendors talking features blah, blah the real artists paint pictures and communicate awesome benefits- of course there’s got be a captive audience in the nix too!
Cheers Kiaran
Thanks Kiaran,
Being able to articulate that in a form that comes across as natural, but guiding makes it extremely effective.
I just love David Garfinkel’s writing style, he does this beautifully.

My mantra has always been “learn how to do keyword research and copywriting”
Now I have a third, “use tools”
Thanks Jerome!

I totally agree, I have used many of those means of advertising but primarily Article marketing and PPC which take a high understanding of copywriting skills. Copy writing skills pulls at the readers emotions and wants them to read more or investigate the content further.
Thank you Jerome for the post – good stuff!
Hi Robert,
It’s just a super way to share your message. Having a well written letter, everyone can benefit from that.
Cool – I’m glad you liked it.

Hi Jerome,
Simple, powerful and orderly steps. Thanks for sharing.
I am starting to fully appreciate the value of keyword research in my campaign. The power of targeting a niche by simply selecting the right mix of semi-competitive and profitable keywords is amazing.
When you write keyword-rich, valuable articles it’s like setting up a system. Write your content, put it out there and if your keyword research, placement and density are up to snuff, targeted leads come to you. Writing great articles is a super leveraging tool.
BTW thanks for the reminder….time for me to churn out a few more articles

Copywriting is the ultimate skill of a master internet marketer.
To my shame, I have not given this skill the proper attention it deserves.
I’ve owned Copywriters’ Guild for quite some time now and only went through the first chapter.
Thanks for reminding me of the important stuff, Jerome.

I agree with you 100% a lot of people have and implement the tools you mentioned first you can buy most of them and they work on their own.
Copy writing is an acquired skill that takes practice.Speaking of Mike Dillard read about what it took him to become a master copy writer.
Hours and hours of practice and determination. I once heard if you master copy writing you can write your own check.
Blank check anyone?

Hey Jerome,
I have to say that when I first started my online marketing business I had to sharpen my copywriting skills. I’ve use it a lot in my previous real estate company. I was a huge direct response marketer and I’ll tell you that if you don’t connect with your prospect with words. It is going to be a long journey.
So mi amigo, this is a skill that must be practice by all marketers.
Enjoy your week!

I like to think of keyword and copy-writing expertise and the the foundation to all content marketing and yet most people concern themselves with the construction before they have laid any foundations.

Being able to influence others through the written word is a skill all leaders must develop, that’s for sure.
Legends like Gary Halbert mastered their skills over many years. I definitely condone spending as much time on sharpening copywriting skills as doing marketing activities. After all, conversion is the key.
